How I work with couples
My approach is relational: the patterns between you matter as much as what each of you brings. I draw on these methods and adapt them to the two of you.

- Helps you understand and reshape the emotional patterns and bonds between you. It is often used with couples working to rebuild closeness and trust.

- Works with both partners together to improve communication, resolve conflict and strengthen connection.
- Narrative
- Separates the two of you from the problem, so you can look at the story of your relationship together.

Couple sessions are $200 plus HST, paid by cash or insurance. Please check that your plan covers psychotherapy by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP).

How much does couples counselling cost?
A couple session is $200 plus HST. You can pay by cash or insurance; I accept 17 providers, including Blue Cross, Canada Life, Green Shield, Manulife and Sun Life.
Is couples counselling covered by insurance?
It depends on your plan. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and accept 17 insurance providers. It’s worth checking that your plan covers psychotherapy by an RP, and how much per year, before your first session.
Can we do couples counselling online?
Yes. We can meet in person at 438 Division Street in Cobourg, or online if meeting from home works better for you both.
Do you offer premarital counselling?
Yes. I work with couples before marriage as well as during it, and with couples going through separation or divorce.
